If you would like to stop the music , look for the control above the picture of the little bird.

January 17, 2007: For Women Only

THE PURPLE HAT
(Beautiful Women)
Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.
Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.
Age 15: She looks at herself and sees an Ugly Sister (Mom, I can't go to school looking like this!)
Age 20: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"- but decides she's going out anyway.
Age 30: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"-but decides she doesn't have time to fix it so she's going out anyway.
Age 40: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"-but says, "At least, I am 'clean"and goes out anyway.
Age 50: She looks at herself and sees "I am" and goes wherever she wants to go.
Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world.
Age 70: She looks at herself & sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life.
Age 80: Doesn't bother to look. Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world.

Maybe we should all grab that Purple Hat a little earlier.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen within her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole.
But true beauty of a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows

January 17, 2007: Dreamed Snow

White snow
like kindness
beautifies everything it covers
Ever wonder
where does the white go
when the snow melts?

January 10, 2007: Fruits Anyone?

I bought some local fruits on the way back from the office today, Both are from the family of 'jambu'. Many fruits share the name of jambu and also share a thirst-quenching juiciness. While they may be related, the varieties look quite different and taste different too.

The red one is known as 'jambu air' (water jambu). Jambu Air (Eugenia aquea), The Water Apple has a white or pink flesh is mildly fragrant with a faint sweetish flavour. It is a good thirst-quencher.

While the green one as known by everybody is guava or in Malay we called it 'jambu batu' (stone jambu).
