March 21, 2008: let it be forgotten
Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold.
Let it be forgotten forever and ever,
Time is a kind friend, he will make us old.
If anyone asks, say it was forgotten
Long and long ago,
As a flower, as a fire, as a hushed footfall
In a long-forgotten snow.

March 15, 2008: A Blissful Saturday
It's Saturday again! Who doesn't love Saturday, right?
My Saturday started with surprises found on my balcony:
-- the yellow rose smiling, and it has lovely fragrance too!

-- the red rose doesn't want to be left behind ....

At around 9 am, I left home for my monthly facial and I grabbed caramel machiato and a bite of tuna sandwiches along the way!
The session is scheduled at 10 am . Before it begun, the beautician have a chat with me - to identify my skin condition and what will be the suitable facial for me today. That's one of the things I like about this salon - they don't simply do facial - they will ask about my concern, e.g whether my face is too oily/too dry this month, or whether I've been having more pimples or if I planned to go to the beach they will avoid certain types of facial etc.
A basic facial session started with 2-3 minutes scalp massage, then only the facial begin. After the first mask was applied on the face, another 5-10 minutes scalp massage is given. Then continue with facial - cold steam, followed by face and eyes massage. The second mask is then applied and this is followed by a neck and shoulder massage - about 5-10 minutes - while waiting for the mask to dry. Then followed by the last step of facial. With a soft music on the background (today they played the sound of waves and seagull) and the smell of aromatherapy oil in the room, most of the time I'll fall asleep
So, that's my little escapism from the 'real world' - once a month (if I am too busy it will be once every 2 months)!
After facial, it's another routine - browsing at Borders! Today I bought 3 books - 1. Just aromatherapy 2. Malaysia Road Atlas 3. The Rough Guide to Spain .
When I got home, the yellow rose seems fully open now

and a closer look ....

That's my Saturday so far! How's yours?
I'll have to continue with my packing shortly - anybody would like to help?

February 29, 2008!!!!!!

.
Hi everyone,
Today is 29 February 2008! Time flies so fast!
How's your 2008 been this far? Any significant changes from the previous year? Any achievement? My life - I mean my working life - has been a bit hectic the past one and half month. But I am not complaining!
So many things to do and to achieve in my new job. Once things are in place, my life should be back to 'normal' .... IF I can define what normal means.
I am also hoping that my new condo to be ready by April!
Another aspect in my life that needs planning! Arghhhhh! Isn't this one of the excuse why you need man in your life?
. Anyway, I think I'll just move in when the condo is ready and will plan of the interior decoration later .... Too many things to think, it hurts my brain!
But then the expert says we only use 10% of our brain!!!

Anyway, have a wonderful day/night my friends!
I'll be thinking of weekend which is just around the corner!

January 05, 2008: The fifth day of 2008
Hi everyone,
How's the new year so far?
My 2008 is good so far and the coughing is getting better.
I went to my brother's house last night - of course to meet the new born Ain Balqis! She was asleep when I arrived.

And testing her vocal once a while

Here Ain Balqis with her sister Ain Batrisya

I went back to my apartment in the morning because the handyman is coming to fix the ceiling. After morning webcam chat with Herb and while waiting for the handyman I took a nap on the sofa
. But my morning nap was later disturbed by a familiar sound
by who else other than my frequent visitor .... which later flew over to nerium oleander (the red flowers) on my balcony

How's your day?

December 24, 2007: In time of sickness

Life has no meaning any more does it?
The wine has no taste, the food sickens you, there seems no
reason for any of it, does there?
But what if I could give it back to you.
Pluck out the pain, and give you
another life,
one you could never imagine,
and it would be for all time.
And sickness and death could
never touch you again.
Don't be afraid, I'm going to give you the choice, I, never, had.

wise men say: in time of sickness the soul collects itself anew ....
