Every person has the power to make others happy.
Some do it simply by entering a room --
others by leaving the room.
Some individuals leave trails of gloom;
others, trails of joy.
Some leave trails of hate and bitterness;
others, trails of love and harmony.
Some leave trails of cynicism and pessimism;
others trails of faith and optimism.
Some leave trails of criticism and resignation;
others trails of gratitude and hope.
What kind of trails do you leave?
(William Arthur Ward)
You leave great trails Larra. I can only aspire to be just like you.Beautiful post, thank you. ~~HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh! How did you do this background? What do you think of the book so far? I've read some, but have had lots going on with work and such.
ReplyDeleteAh, you are being modest Jule.
ReplyDeleteTo the world you are someone, but to someone you are the world. :)
Hugs,
Larra
Actually the background has sort of 3 background pictures - the background in the middle (I suppose the main one), the border background (the outer part) and the header background (the one that I used picture of Herbie and I in France). So I changed the link to those pictures with my own pictures on flickr. But of course after few trials and error with the CSS codes :)
ReplyDeleteI have started reading it ... but very slow, only completed the first 3 chapters.
ReplyDeleteGenerally I like the 'poem' - it can be a reference in life. But the book is not meant to be read from cover to cover. One can flip to any chapter when needed. And I have 'problem' reading this kind of book :) because it has lack of excitement for me to know what's-going-to-happen-next. Heehee. Hence, I am going to treat this book as such - go for it when I need to read about any part of the book. It's a good book, no doubt. It's a good reminder!
I'm flipping around too...and reading a novel, and a work related book. I like what I've read so far.....think I'm through two or three chapters too.
ReplyDeleteSure wish I knew how to do the things you do on your page. It's all Greek to me and I have no time to learn.~~sigh
Herb taught me how to do it when we first started Multiply. He is my 'guru' in a lot of things. Heeeeheee. I am a poor topo map reader - he taught me and I am still learning (psssst, I don't like reading map!). He taught me the types of cheese and best way to eat cheese - he almost succeed in converted me into cheese eater. He taught me about the weeds - and I end up falling in love with dandelion and still hate nettle! :D
ReplyDeleteI only taught him one thing: how to do pedicure. ;)
Lady, I'm sure you've taught him more than that....grin. Oh I can't help it, I've got to ask what color polish he prefers?I love the little buggers too.....Dandelions...I love them deeply right up until the moment I yank them out of my gardens or mow their wee heads off before they seed out!.Isn't it next month you leave for France? Are you both poring over maps then?
ReplyDeletePeople have told me i leave slime trails, i dont believe them at all!
ReplyDeleteWe will be flying to Northern Spain on 5th April and I'll be leaving for the UK on 31 March. Yes, you can expect lots of maps! :) Herb has bought few maps and has come out with holiday plan on Excel spreasheet (isn't he great? heheee) as well as driving plan from A to B , B to C etc. And I has printed those plans in booklet so that it will be easier to carry and to refer to while on the move :)
ReplyDeleteYou did? :)
ReplyDeleteIf that is the case, which I sincerely doubt...those kinds of people should firmly be ignored!
ReplyDeleteSo completely organized. On excel? Heavens, think he could also do a 'life' plan for me...point a to b to c, etc.?
ReplyDeleteIt would be tremendously helpful....save all this time I've spent on useless detours. :)
