Beauty is in the eye of beholder

Beautiful 'passiflora foetida' or wild maracuja flower (in my language we called it 'bunga letup' or 'leletup') that I came accross during my morning walk today. This vine bear edible orange color fruit/berry that I used to eat when I was small :)

Before the flower open:

Fully open!! :)

'Bunga letup' (Passiflora foetida) ... fully open

And these tendrils of passiflora foetida have also caught my eyes:

  3. Yes, you are right, it reminded me of passion flower too. :) How strange 2 flowers from totally different kind of plant resembled each other.

Ah, the bokeh ;) Have you mastered it yet? Anyway the morning light wasn't bright enough otherwise you'll get better bokeh.

  4. When I was small, my friends and I always looking forward for the fruit/berry of this plant when we went out playing in the jungle or bushes. Not just us, the birds also love the fruit :) I don't remember paying attention to the flowers. lol.

I have not seen this plant for sometimes, the birds must have 'dropped' something valuable that made this plant appear not far from my condominium. :)
