My first attempt (the first 4 photos) of making quiche. It all started when I bought a quite expensive 'creme cheese' and dont know what to do with it! lol. You know our daily diet rarely use cheese or creme chees.
The last photo was my second attempt where the filling was different - this time I added prawns
It's breakfast time here, and my stomach is complaining for some of this quiche!
ReplyDeleteIt looks delicious... Is that spinach? It looks very tasty and also healthy.
Yes, it is good for breakfast! Easy to make too! :) I can send you some if you like. lol
ReplyDeleteThe filling - spinach, cream cheese, egg, chives, mustard, cayene pepper, salt. I began to like it. :) My seond attemp - the last photo - I added fresh prawns - that I sauteed in butter with onion -and exclude the mustard and chives). The pastry was puff pastry that I bought in the supermarket - but I prefer the other type of pastry, like the one use for pie. Maybe when I have enough time I'll make my own pastry.
I was excited to taste it! I can't wait another 15 minutes for it too cool off, so I cut it while it still hot. lol
ReplyDeletelooks good, send me some. Enjoy
ReplyDeletethat looks great
ReplyDeleteI had thought I had invented cheese and spinach quiche myself :-)
but I don't make mine with cream cheese, [but cheddar] so I think I would like to try this
thanks
delicious
smudge77, thank you for dropping by! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, some of the recipes use cheese instead of cream cheese. But for a non-cheese-eater like me :) cream cheese gives a milder taste than the cheese. But hey, I started to enjoy feta cheese which according to my cheese 'guru' is only a young cheese. heheee The next challenge will be blue cheese (yuck, I can't stand the smell. lol)
Okay, I'll send some when your oven grilled tomatoes are ready! ;) We can do some butter trade here
ReplyDelete~ I bet this was really delicious ~ breakfast time here now and could just tuck into that now !!! :)
